By Ernesto Maitim

The new iPod video is one of the most sought after gadget today. Not only is it sleek and trendy in looks, it also has some of the most high tech accessories such as the contact book, universal clock and a variety of exciting games.

From the 2004 iPod model, this newest video version brought a new and better feature on storage of photos. As it is, the iPod now offers full sized thumbnails of such photos and what is more exciting is that you can opt to organize them in slide shows.

The new iPod dimensions are much bigger that those last models. This is because of the fact that the new iPod video is meant to watch movies and music video. Therefore it is but natural that this gadget offers a much wider color screen, about 2.5 inches. This is a great benefit that the gadget offers to users, albeit one downside is that the screen surface is prone to scratches.

The new iPod video has many major improvements, especially on the area of battery life. This means that the iPod video battery has a long life of 20 hours. Surely this is a great advantage especially to those who long to watch long hours of TV shows, videos, cartoons and photos. Another important advantage of the new iPod is the iTunes Music Store, boasting of more than two million songs for all types of individual, as well as a great variety of shows.

Making ipod video downloads is easy and done in a direct manner. What is more exciting is that you can see downloaded files on your television with the help of special cables. Likewise, it is possible to use the remote control and universal dock. Other great features of the iPod video are the video feature and easy control. However another bothersome flaw of this gadget is the sound interruption between tracks.

Apple iPod Touch 16 GB (2nd Generation) - A Quick Review

Apple iPod Touch 16 GB (2nd Generation) - A Quick Review
By Troy Richards

The second-generation Apple iPod touch closes the gap between the iPod and iPhone. No longer can it be considered a 'poor man's' iPhone. Its appearance and functionality look almost identical to the iPhone, barring the phone's earpiece slot and ability to surf the 3G airwaves.

The new iPod touch has added two excellent physical features, external volume control and an internal speaker. And for individuals who use their iPod touch primarily for listening to music, its sound quality far exceeds that of the iPhone.

The new Apple iPod touch has a sleek design and new stainless steel backing. The external volume controls provide much more versatile options for users on the go. Though the new built-in speaker may cause weary commuters pause, the quality of sound from it has vastly improved from both its previous version and the iPhone 3G.

The Apple iPod touch is for music aficionados for the sheer superiority of its sound quality. It doesn't suffer from degradation of sound that comes with the iPhone because it doesn't have to compete with radio frequency interference that is inherent with phone transmission requirements. Whenever RF (radio frequency) interference is inevitable, there will be a loss of sound quality.

When listening to dynamic material, from symphonic orchestrations to sustained piano concertos, or the pulse-pounding beats of bass and drums, or the wail of a powerful guitar solo, the iPod touch handles the frequency and separation with better quality, creating a musical experience that can only be matched by live performance. The Apple iPod touch has grown up. For music lovers, it is the only real choice.

Ipod Earphones vs. Noise Cancelling Headphones

By Steve Joseph

The iPod has really taken the lead in portable music technology with their funky new designs and ability to download 4 to 60GB’s of songs in a single hit. However in my praise of Apple’s technology there is one serious fault with the iPod, this being the trademark white earphones. These flimsy headphones are an insult to the iPod technology and prevent the user from benefiting from their full listening experience. In fact in light of new noise cancelling headphone technology, the old school earphones are worthy of a place in the trash!

With the new technology of noise cancelling headphones on the rise, music goers will finally have the adequate equipment to enhance their listening experience. In the general public iPod’s are used frequently weather it be in airplanes, on public transport or walking from place to place. Nevertheless with its frequent use comes the distraction of outside noise and with that comes the excessive noise levels of the user trying to drown out the background noise instead of cancelling the noise. All these factors play on our ears and can cause long-term effects. Yet there is hope, noise cancelling headphones cancels out the background noise of everyday events and puts you on a one on one term with you and your music.

The next big move in ipod accessories will without doubt be noise cancelling headphones for this reason; an individual would not consider connecting low grade speakers to a high quality sound systems so why do it with head phones? Already other labels have begun a market change and have added the new noise cancelling feature to their headphone line. Taking off without a hitch, noise cancelling headphones are set to be not just the must have accessory but also a new fixation dealing with sound technology.
